Dear Friends,

Pope Benedict XVI in his message for the 2010 celebration of World Communications Day states that " Priests stand at the threshold of a new era: As new technologies create deeper forms of relationship across greater distances, they are called to respond pastorally by putting the media ever more effectively at the service of the word."
  
With this thought in mind I am most pleased to welcome you to our new parish website. The presence of God touches our lives in so many ways. For example, through creation, through family and friends and sacramentally when we celebrate the various sacraments such as Reconciliation and Eucharist. That presence can also reach us through the internet.

We are so blessed with a sound and vibrant ecclesial community that is Saint Mary's, Our Lady's Parish. I invite you to explore our site which offers peaks into the various pieces of parish life. Also note links to the more prominent and important official Catholic websites.

As Paul states in his second letter to Timothy "Preach the word, be ready in season and out of season..." and so we do with great hope and dedication in all places and spaces including that of cyber-space.
